Thornhlll Baseball returned this summer with a grand slam as our house league program saw more than 180 kids, ages 4-18, hit the field for a season of fun, excitement and baseball development.

The season started with our highly successful Baseball Training Academy. Thornhill Baseball’s more seasoned coaches hosted 2 weeks of practices to get our ball players ready for on-field action. We also hosted 5 free baseball clinics throughout the summer for our house league players to continue to have fun and improve their hitting, catching, running, throwing and general love of the game.

Starting in early July and culminating with our Championship Week at the end of August, players across all 5 of our divisions — T-Ball, Junior Rookie, Senior Rookie, Mosquito/Peewee, and Bantam/Young Adult — participated in weekly practices and games. Our T-Ball and Junior Rookie Divisions ended the season with an evening of Baseball Olympics where players enjoyed a variety of fun baseball games and then were treated to a visit from an Ice Cream Truck. For players in our older divisions, their final week of the season included highly competitive semi-finals and Championship/Consolation Finals games, which saw some great ball being played.

This past season would not have been possible without the support of our sponsors (GTA Hardware, TD Bank, Rockstar Music Central, Manhattan Trophies and Sylvan Learning). As well as our more than 45 coaches and parent volunteers who every week came to provide our ball players with a baseball experience they will remember for a very long time. Thank you to all of our sponsors and coaches!

Overall, it was great to see the kids back on the diamond: having fun, making new friends, learning new skills, and enjoying the game of baseball. We look forward to having all of our Thornhill Baseball house league families back next summer. Keep an eye out for 2022 registration info, which will be available later this year.
