Tony Selina

Vice President - Rep

Rene is the Vice President of the Thornhill Baseball Club’s Rep baseball program. Rene’s time with the club began 10 years ago, when he volunteered as a coach for his son’s rep baseball team. Since then, Rene continued his engagement with the club, with a focus on improving the club’s rep baseball program – including ensuring all current 13 rep teams are as competitive as possible. Rene enjoys teaching kids the fundamentals of baseball, which can be seen in his time as an assistant coach on the Reds 18U A squad. Rene’s love for baseball came from playing the game while growing up in Cuba. Today, his love of the game comes from teaching kids “how to enjoy the game and have fun.”

Vice President - Select

Jon Rogers is the Vice-President of Thornhill Baseball’s select program, having been involved in the club for the past eight years. He is also the club’s Vice-President of Marketing and coach of one of its rep teams. He joined Thornhill Baseball because he had a very strong passion for baseball and enjoyed his time as a volunteer coach when he was younger. As a coach, Jon views it as a great way to connect with kids and the community. Coaching inspired him to get involved at the board level. He believes baseball is a great way to improve physical fitness and is a great way to build teamwork and a child’s social skills, leadership and leadership characteristics.

Vice President - House League

Since 2008, Paul has been a committed volunteer with Thornhill Baseball. Over the years he has coached at all 3 levels within the organization (house league, select and rep) and held several positions on the board, including Director of Sponsorship. He is currently the Vice President of House League, the head coach of the 12U A rep team an assistant coach of the 18U A squad. As Vice President of HL, he focuses on providing a fun and safe environment for players of all ages.. As a community member, Paul was inspired to coach and volunteer after he decided to follow in his former coaches’ footsteps. Due to this, Paul is grateful to coach many players and says that, “Sports are important for the community and for the kids.”

Vice President - Men's League

Dave started playing in Thornhill Baseball when he was 18-years old, and eventually volunteered as a coach in house league and at both the select and rep levels. He was inspired to join the TBC board because he loves baseball and enjoys running the club’s men’s league. He wanted to help improve the men’s league and took over it to build upon the foundation already built by volunteers before him. He believes that Thornhill Baseball gives back to the community and regardless of age and gender, provides kids and adults of all ages a great environment to play baseball.
