2021 Rep & Select Tryout Process
Thornhill Baseball is excited to announce Rep and Select tryouts for new and returning players!
All players must register online before attending a Tryout!
For those players residing outside Thornhill, please review the YSBA release policy.
All COVID-19 safety protocols are in place for tryouts. Players trying out for a 2021 team that is not within their current organization must complete new Return to Sport Waivers, Declarations and Acknowledgement for the new team they are trying out for. Instructions are provided during the tryout registration process, please read all information carefully. To avoid being turned away at the field, please ensure forms are completed in advance. Players currently registered in Thornhill Baseball 2020 summer development program do not need to complete these online forms again. Registration closes 24 hours before the first tryout.
The tryout fee is $20.00 and the number of Rep and Select teams offered at each age group will be based on player registration and abilities.
Coaches will run their tryouts together, with the coach of the higher tier team having first choice of available players. Players should attend a minimum of two (2) tryouts. If circumstances do not allow for this, please speak with the head coach. Coaches will release players to the lower level team right after the second scheduled tryout.
The first two tryout sessions may be divided, depending on how many players are trying out in that division. To help keep numbers within the allowed limits, we ask that only one parent/guardian attend tryouts with their player.
Any players not selected to a REP team will be eligible to try out for Select (if offered). All players must attend the Rep tryouts to be eligible for the select program.
Team classifications will be determined after tryouts based on the level of play of that team and their ability to compete.
